Rio Arriba County has begun the process of updating its Comprehensive Plan. This webpage is designed to solicit input and feedback during the update process. Citizens are encouraged to participate in community meetings and provide input and feedback throughout the process. Information about community meetings, drafts, and other updates will be shared on this page until the Comprehensive Plan is completed.
The Comprehensive Plan for Rio Arriba County is a strategic framework designed to guide the county’s growth and development over the next two decades. It serves as a blueprint for making informed decisions that affect land use, housing, economic development, transportation, infrastructure, natural resources, hazard mitigation, and implementation. The plan created is a result of extensive collaboration among county officials, stakeholders, and community members, reflecting the collective vision for a sustainable and prosperous future.
