Mission Statement

Rio Arriba County will use its constitutional powers to provide for safety, preserve health, promote prosperity and improve morals, order, comfort, and convenience of the inhabitants of Rio Arriba County. The Risk Management Personnel will continue cooperating with other departments to assure all personnel that our efforts are in the best interests of the county, its employees, and the public.

Training & Education

• Safety Training
  Programs designed to reduce workplace hazards and promote a culture of safety.
• Defensive Driving Training
  Instruction for employees operating government vehicles to improve road safety and reduce liability.
• First Aid & CPR Training
  Certification courses to ensure staff are prepared to respond to medical emergencies.

Injury & Claims Management

• Workers’ Compensation Support
  Coordination and oversight of work-related injury claims to ensure proper care and compliance.
• Tort Claims Handling
  Management and processing of liability claims involving the municipality.

Policy Oversight & Compliance
