Position:  Assistant Planner  

Positions Available: 1  Department: Planning & Zoning-Espanola

                                                                                             

The Planning & Zoning Department of Rio Arriba County Is searching for an individual

  • With knowledge of Land Use Development Criteria
  • Responsible for compiling necessary criteria in establishing a comprehensive plan for the county as well as providing technical planning reports
  • Able to provide supervisory duties to staff as well as assist with Code Enforcement Staff
  • To participate in Public Land Management Planning Projects and monitor and review Logging Ordinance and Timber Harvest Plans State Forestry regulations

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities:

  • Background in drafting, map reading and related skills
  • Must be able to read and understand maps, plats, deeds, and technical records and ordinances
