Department: Rio Arriba County Detention Center
Principal Duties & Responsibilities: The Detention Center has positions available for Detention Recruit/Officer. The ideal Candidate will plan and perform a wide range of detention duties to insure the proper booking and incarceration and safety of persons committed to the Detention Center.

Position: Site Supervisor
Positions Available: 7 Department: Recreation
Rio Arriba County is seeking motivated individuals to be responsible for implementing
daily activities for the children at the site they are assigned too. These activities will include but are not limited to:
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Arts and Crafts Projects
- Scheduling Special Activities
- Conduct Nutrition Education at least twice during the first month of operation
- Scheduling Field Trips
- Supervision of assigned staff
- Ensure cleanliness of facility
As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for turning in daily and weekly reports as well as the distribution of lunches. This individual must have the ability to follow local and federal guidelines while performing duties as assigned by the Director, Supervisor, or Designee on a daily basis. The individuals selected for this position must have excellent leadership skills and the ability to understand and communicate with both teens and children.
Qualifications:
· Employee will complete a pre-employment drug test;
· Clean Driving Record with the ability to obey all traffic rules and laws
· Valid New Mexico Driver’s License
· Good knowledge of the principles and techniques in a recreation program/food service
and overall program reporting
· First Aid/CPR Certification

Position: Cook Aide
Positions Available: 2 Department: Recreation
Rio Arriba County is seeking motivated individuals to be responsible for preparation and packing of daily meals according to standardized recipes. Ensure the kitchen is properly equipped and clean at all times. Documentation is maintained on a daily basis on forms in a neatly and accurately. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Head Cook with daily inventory of foods;
- Maintains accurate temperature logs for ovens, refrigerators, freezers and preparedmeals;
- Assists in maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen according to local guidelines and regulations;
- Follow food safety guidelines;
- Maintain a safe work environment for you and co-workers to avoid injuries;
- Must have the ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment;
- Must be able to work and travel throughout Rio Arriba County;
- Attend job related meetings and trainings as required.
Qualifications:
· Employee will complete a pre-employment drug test;
· Clean Driving Record with the ability to obey all traffic rules and laws;
· Valid New Mexico Driver’s License;
· Good knowledge of the principles and techniques in a recreation program/food service and overall program reporting;
· First Aid/CPR Certification;
· Must have experience in food preparation and ordering, menu creation and a Food Handler’s Certification Card.

Rio Arriba County is seeking a motivated individual to assist the SFSP Coordinator with assigned tasks with minimal supervision and the ability to follow verbal instructions. Exemplary interpersonal skills are essential to this position aswell as the ability to work with the public and children in a professional and caring manner.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- AnsweringPhones, taking messages and directing to proper staff;
- Typing and preparing correspondence and reports as requested;
- Filing, assisting with daily meal counts and other duties associated with SFSP;
- Occasionally assists with preparation of meals for delivery to various meal sites.

Position: Van Driver/SFSP
Positions Available: 2 Espanola 1 Tierra Amarilla
Department: Recreation
Rio Arriba County is seeking a responsible party to provide a variety of transportation services for the Summer Recreation Program participants such as; transporting summer participants to recreational activities; field trips and other destinations according to the activity schedule.
Essential Job Duties:
- Assist kitchen staff in preparing, serving, and packing meals;
- Maintain a vehicle maintenance report which will be submitted monthly to supervisor;
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections;
- Ensure all proper documentation pertinent to the vehicle and driver are in vehicle at all times;
- Obeys all traffic laws and regulations pertaining to transportation vehicles;
- Must have the ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision;
- Must be able to travel throughout Rio Arriba County;
- The ability to make sound decisions while maintaining responsibility
Qualifications:
