Position: CASE MANAGER I/ESPANOLA

 

Positions Available:   1        Department: Health & Human Services

Rio Arriba County is seeking a motivated individual to provide intensive case management for individuals with mental health/substance abuse disorders. Works closely with critical team members in order to ensure client care continuity. Exemplary interpersonal skills are essential to this position as well as the ability to work with the public in a professional and caring manner.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs community outreach
  • Works with the judicial system to identify appropriate referrals
  • Identify clients utilizing proper assessment and screening protocols
  • Performs client intakes: explaining services and program requirements
  • If indicated, refer client to appropriate services
  • Dispenses Narcan and maintain proper paperwork
  • Create Service Plans
  • Documents client’s progress with regard to service plan
  • Integrates coordination of care with necessary treatment team members to ensure continuum of care
  • Maintains appropriate client records
  • Completes required paperwork, weekly itinerary, and monthly reports in a timely fashion

Skills Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Must be able to obtain PED
  • High school Diploma or GED;
  • A four (4) year university degree in social work or related field is preferred
  • Experience working with diverse cultures
  • Meets all HSD requirements for Data Entry
  • Knowledge of Medicaid enrollment procedures preferred
  • Knowledge of basic interview techniques, ability to think logically, analyze and recommend course of action
  • Employee will be required to follow all Rio Arriba County and Rio Arriba County’s Detention Center policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of the Spanish language is beneficial
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and handle difficult situations

Qualifications:

  • Employee will complete a pre-employment drug test;
  • Clean Driving Record with the ability to obey all traffic rules and laws
  • Valid New Mexico Driver’s License
  • May have to complete new hire physical
  • Employee must comply with all safety guidelines of the county

Position: CUSTODIAN I

Positions Available:  1              Department: Maintenance - Tierra Amarilla  

 Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cleans windows, windowsills and mirrors;
  • Vacuums and shampoos carpets;
  • Cleans facility which includes washing walls, cleaning restrooms and offices, dusting furniture etc.
  • Moves furniture as necessary;
  • Landscape duties include planting and watering vegetation, pruning, fertilizing and Removes snow from sidewalks and driveways;
  • mowing grass;
  • Maintains security of buildings by checking locks on doors and windows and patrolling grounds;
  • Collects and disposes of garbage;
  • Uses proper disinfectants to control odors and germs;
  • Sets up rooms for meetings;
  • Inspects facility for needed repairs and reports to supervisor;
  • Assembles desks and re-lamping lights;

 Skills, knowledge, and abilities:

  • High school diploma or GED Certificate is required ;
  • Experience in Custodial duties totaling one (1) year;
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods, practices, safety rules, cleansers, supplies and cleaning equipment;
  • Ability to communicate, follow and give instructions, add, subtract, multiply, divide measure, clean properly and operate cleaning equipment;
  • Skills include Manual Dexterity;
  • A Valid New Mexico Driver’s License is Required;
  • Work Keys Scores Preferred.

Position:    FINANCE I

  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Keep accurate records in accounts payable;
    • Reviews accounting documents to verify amounts, extensions, codes, total, etc. against supporting documents;
    • Prepare payment vouchers;
    • Assures that transactions re credited and debited to proper accounts;
    • Reviews accounting forms for proper completion, amounts, coding , discounts and taxes;
    • Verifies accuracy of computer printouts against input information;
    • Contact Vendors throughout the County;
    • Prepare utility vouchers; verify billing; and present for approval;
    • Enter all data into the accounts payable system and log all purchase orders;
    • Maintain and make service calls for postage meter;
    • Prepare direct payment vouchers, reviews all travel and mileage and per-diem;
    • Takes care of all leases;
    • Enter W-9 vendors for direct payment vouchers and contracts and enters and files all W-9’s;
    • Maintain records and files for accounts payable reports and vendor files;
    • Assist in answering phones;

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITES:       

  • Knowledge of the principles of business and County government organization;
  • Knowledge of methods to tactfully deal with the public;
  • Proficiency in data entry using keyboard and key pad;
  • A combination of college education, training and experience in accounting, Finance or business totaling 2 years;
  • Knowledge of basic math, filing, and reading comprehension;
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical computations;
  • Employee will be required to take job-related courses;
  • Work Key Scores Preferred;

Position: Laborer II      

Position Available:  I

Department: ROADS DEPARTMENT - ESPANOLA

 

As a Laborer II with Rio Arriba County (RAC) your primary job duty is to maintain work areas for the safety of the work crews. The candidate will operate light equipment, dump and cargo trucks in all phases of construction. Candidate will also haul and deliver supplies, materials and equipment. Further responsibilities of an RAC Laborer II include:

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  •  Labor II hauls materials, operates broom to sweep roadways;
  • Forms and pours cement, performs carpentry, cuts and repairs concrete;
  • Performs minor maintenance and repairs on equipment/building/facilities;
  • Operates light duty stationary equipment, jack hammers, compressors, water pumps, welders and small steam cleaners;
  • Paints, replaces signs, fences, mows, picks up litter;
  • Sets warning signs on work areas for safety;
  • Dispenses fuel into county vehicles, flags traffic, and picks up parts for emergency repairs;
  • Cleans county vehicles;
  • Operate light equipment such as pick-ups, lawn mowers, chainsaw, weed eaters, etc;
  • Reports infractions to immediate Supervisor;
  • Maintains required documentation such as (pm reports, daily reports, fuel log, etc.);
  • Makes minor repairs to fences, gate structures and maintains road sign as per M.U.T.C.D. standards;
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Director/Supervisor/Designee and performs all duties to the best of his ability;

 OTHER RESPONSIBLITIES:

  •  Operates all single axle flat beds, dump and other cargo trucks;

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  •  Location, working hours, travel, etc;
  • Labor II will perform essential duties outdoors under various conditions, extreme hot or cold, wet or dry, greasy natural ground, asphalt, noise;
  • May be required to work irregular hours;

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  Have the ability to operate a single axle vehicle and lift fifty pounds and willing to accept change of geographical assignments;
  •  A High School Diploma or GED Certificate is required. Selected applicants must complete and pass a pre-employment drug test and possess a valid New Mexico Driver’s License.
