USING YOUR ADMIN - The Page Editor - Text Formatting (Mac)

The bad news: Internet Explorer does not have some of the same functionality available for the Macs as they do for the PC, so a few of the buttons you see on our admin page won't work on the Mac. This was not our idea -- we use Macs too!

The good news: If you were smart enough to buy a Mac, you are certainly clever enough to bypass the admin buttons by using a few simple HTML tags.

Bold Text Example:

  1. Make sure your paragraph button is selected
  2. Type or paste some text in the paragraph field
  3. Pick a word or phrase you would like to make bold
  4. Put <b> in front of the word or phrase
  5. Put </b> after the word or phrase
  6. <b>Text between these tags will appear bold when you save the page.</b>
  7. Preview your page with the preview on/off button
  8. Come back to the editor with the preview on/off button

Follow the same proceedure for bold, italic, web link, and email link:

Make text bold:
<b>Text between these tags will be bold</b>

Make text italic:
<i>Text between these tags will be italic</i>

Create a web link:
<a href="http://www.yourlink.com">Click Here</a>
In the above example, http://www.yourlink.com is the actual web URL. Click Here is the part your audience will see as a highlighted link)

Create an email link:
<a href="mailto:info@yourdomain.com">Send Email</a>
In the above example, mailto:info@yourdomain.com is the actual email link. Send Email is the part your audience will see, as a highlighted link)
